Bob Segar is the Associate Vice Chancellor of Campus Planning and Environmental Stewardship, with almost 30 years of experience guiding the largest campus in the UC system through a dramatic physical transformation. During his tenure, the campus has realized capital investment spanning every possible campus activity — student centers, arts venues, athletic facilities, research buildings, student housing and dining, gathering spaces, roadways and pathways. He is responsible for long-range land-use planning, site planning, community planning, sustainability, transportation, and the public landscape. Bob has led several important campus initiatives, including serving as the Chancellor’s coordinator for the Mondavi Center for Performing Arts, directing the celebration of the UC Davis Centennial in 2008–2009, and leading the planning for the UC Davis West Village zero-net-energy community.
