Nadia M. Anderson is an Assistant Professor in Architecture and Extension Specialist at Iowa State University. She is the co-director of the ISU Community Design Lab, an engaged research group using design methods in partnership with local communities to address contemporary issues such as climate change and economic inequity through sustainable infrastructure, local food systems, and community resilience. She also leads the award-winning Bridge Studio service-learning program and teaches interdisciplinary seminars on design activism and urbanism. Prior to joining the Iowa State faculty in 2005, Nadia practiced architecture in Chicago, Warsaw, and Vienna. She received her Master of Architecture degree in 1994 from the University of Pennsylvania and her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1988 from Yale University.
