Ann Shostrom shows artworks internationally at galleries and museums. She is represented by Elizabeth Harris Gallery in New York. She founded First Street Green, transforming a derelict New York City lot into a culture park. Shostrom’s projects include public art made from decommissioned weapons in Albania; Mir2, a multimedia installation and performance that used the International Space Station as a model for collaboration and won Dance Theater Workshop’s 2002 Bessie Award for Performance, Installation and New Media; Trunk Show, a series of international exhibitions; and Archipelago, collaborative installations she organized at Arti et Amicitciae, Amsterdam, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Denver. She has a BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago and an MFA from Syracuse University. Shostrom is an assistant professor at Penn State University.
