Elizabeth Thomas is associate professor and director of Urban Studies at Rhodes College. At the time of the original conversation, all three were members of the Cultural Studies Praxis Collective, a multiyear cross-institutional collaboration in the Seattle region co-directed by Bruce Burgett and Kanta Kochhar-Lindgen.
