This map was developed out of the 2018 Imagining America Gathering from the session “Uniting States of Design.” As a part of the CoPED (Collective of Publicly Engaged Designers) initiative, we invited design-focused public scholars to brainstorm the institutions that support participatory design at local and national levels. The map is intended both to show the breadth of our collective networks and to serve as a resource to designers and scholars wishing to extend their networks. It represents the starting point of a dynamic resource crowd-sourced by publicly engaged designers/scholars and used to nurture and cultivate their networks. If you have individuals or institutions that you would like to see included, email Brett Snyder at blsnyder@ucdavis.edu.
